Product Description

Topiramate Tablets IP are anticonvulsants that are prescribed for treating epilepsy in both adults and children. They are also known to be used for treatment of Lennox-Gastaut syndrome in children. Topiramate is an active compound present in these tablets having chemical formula C12H21NO8S with molecular weight of 339.363 g/mol. These tablets show 80% of bioavailability with metabolism in liver and having elimination half-life of about 19 to 25 hours. After absorption, Topiramate Tablets IP gets metabolized by hydrolysis, hydroxylation, and glucuronidation. Up to 70% of this drug is excreted unchanged in urine with low protein binding ability of 13 to 17%.
